Higher Ed is important - Ashland Univeristy

Here in the inner court of Ashland Univeristy's college campus is an oasis of sorts. Not only can you get a quality Master level education, but also see beautiful flowers, listening to a siren water fountain, and enjoy plenty of places to sit. I recommend the stone benches by the fountain for recreation, chillin' or catching up on your studies.

Sturdy patio furniture has the dreaded arms. May be a comfy seat for most but not everyone. Still nice.

I must give this college a GREEN light. Go and get a quality education.

Cosi @ Polaris Parkway

Cosi - pronounced kho'zz is an urban, hip and cozy spot where you can grab a latte, flat bread sandwich filled with everything from seafood, to turkey, bacon and gorgonzola cheeses to gourmet pizzas and desserts. The price points fits its atmosphere.

Comfortable seating, I did however have a choice of seating after the lunch-rush. No arms on the wood chairs. Table with two chairs some larger tables seats four per table. Asymmetric high backed benches were nice too with movable/adjustable round tables for your convenience.

Here are a few seating pictures~

O'Charley's Resturant (Columbus, Ohio)

Good food, service and prices and most of all atmosphere! O'Charley's chain restaurant has a lot to offer the local/neighborhood hangout spot. More importantly, the seating is a comfortable fit for most. For added room, spacious booths with adjustable tables if you need more tummy room -- like some of us do-- make for a nice experience. Other seating available at O'Charley's are high- stools at the "bistro style" tables in the bar area. General seating where tables has wood chairs with vinyl covering are plentiful and sturdy. The only drawback is that of the placement of four chairs per table. The seats do not have arms - who-hoo! that is a bonus! However, a choice to sit with another person at the table is most comfortable with one on each side for a larger patron. UNLESS you want to be cozy with someone, then go ahead and do your thang! ;)

Below is a pix of the sturdy wood chair from the O'Charley's restaurant.

I recommend O'Charley's chain restaurants a YELLOW (yellow) light. Proceed with caution if more than two are in your party.

Park Parkin'- Gahanna Ohio

Creekside - Gahanna, OH 43230

I wanted to visit this place for a while since its unveiling in 2007 or there abouts. According to its website (http://www.creeksidegahanna.com/) says that the park includes a public plaza, bridges, fountains, hand-cut limestone boulders, plenty of nature and natural spaces and a flag art display. While I was there on a warm sunny afternoon, I strolled around and looked into the store windows of many of the shops, like a jewlery shop, wine and bar space, Coldstone Creamey and a host of other interesting places to visist. The park is also accommodating to those in wheel chairs with ramps and a parking garage near the park and *bonus* an elevator leading from the garage to the open space.

The outdoor spaces were favorable for the MyVIPseat cause. As I took in the sights and nature sounds, the main area of the park and specifically the opportuntity for comfortable seating was abound. From seating on the fountain wall to along the walking space, to side benches of wood or steel to 'park' your self to take in the waterfall over the rocks, or view swans swimming in the creek.
Here is my attempt to take pix with my new digital camera. :) Just wanted to give you an idea of some seating choices while there taking in the beauty of the park and all it's splendor. Here are a few pictures of the seating where I felt very comfortable:

> patio chair by the fountains -(this seat may be a little uncomfortable for some)

> A spacious park bench

Outdoor patio seating at the Italian restaurant "Mezzo" >
Pack a food basket, or take a stroll, just Go and enjoy the ambiance of Spring and newness. I will give Creekside a GREEN light.
Enjoy!

M @ Miranova - Columbus, Ohio

It's nice to know that even if you have a more to move', you still can enjoy a relaxing and comfortable fine dining experience at M @ Miranova restaurant in Downtown Columbus, Ohio. The food and ambiance are equally superb. Looking out over the Scioto River and beautifully constructed buildings and green spaces from the panoramic glass windows welcomed in the picturesque fresh spring trees and M's lush patio furnishings and decor. The subtle changing overhead colorful mood lighting took the dining experience to the next level.

As you Valet park your vehicle and walk trough the front door from the lobby to the double glass doors of the restaurant you will be instantly transformed into a 5 star atmosphere with dark woods and class modern decor with soft dividers i.e. white sheers hung ceiling to floor to delineate private spaces. (Note: It will take approximately one (1) minute to walk from the curb through the restaurant doors.)

M @ Miranova gets the GREEN light. Go and enjoy a comfortable and relaxing experience for inside dining. Note the establishment does have several seating options: bar stools for a long table down the center of the restaurant and nestled up to the bar area. They also provide private rooms where mostly just like other areas of the restaurant -- wide study sturdy seating with cloth seat padding, and most importantly without confining chair arms. The patio may pose some challenges for those larger patrons for seating. If in doubt, M's offer patrons to RSVP options. To get the most comfortable seating for your best experience, call ahead and request a table with arm free chairs for you and your guests.

Tai's Asian Bistro - Lane Avenue Columbus, Ohio

On Saturday (3/27/2010) I dined at Tai's Asian Bistro on Lane Ave. Columbus, Ohio and I felt it was a good experience. As I opened the door,to the resturant it was crowded and filled with undergrad college students. My first thought was to turn around and go some place else. I didn't want to weave through the crowd to get to the rear of the restaurant to order my food then have to search and find a seat in what seemed like a sea of "Go Bucks" aficionados. I am glad I stayed. The food was easy to select from the 5 foot tall floor menu or a decorative menu to pull from the posting at the counter. The line to order your food went very quickly and more importantly the SEATING was fairly comfortable and spacious enough to enjoy my dining experience. A modern atmosphere, has deli style counter seating has a single anchored stool with black vinyl seat padding for one person or a group, accompanied by a "bar-shelf " eating space that looks out into the parking lot and street passer-bys for quick in and out type of feedings. There were four separate types of seating arrangements. First, the counter seating, next the four (4) bistro styled chairs to a average sized table, then, a few tables were longer and sat 6 or more to a table for larger crowds. Lastly, down the middle of the restaurant two (2) wide armed modern seating spaces for one or two people with at table wide enough for two diners and are anchored on either side by the wide seated chair.

I was skeptical at first of the table and chairs that I chose and that was available. I sat at the 4 seat table with the small round vinyl padded Bistro chair with wooden frame, actually it was fairly comfortable but needed more 'back of the thigh space' like the space from the hip, back of thigh to knee area, could have been more, but for the 45mins I was there, it was OK.

IF you go... Tai's Asian Bistro a Yellow (YELLOW) light- meaning proceed with caution. If you are uncomfortable with the seating they do have Take Out or Take Away and enjoy in your most comfortable spot. The food is great! Atmosphere alluring and fun and up beat. It clears out and gets crowded quickly during high traffic times.

Future reviews, I will aim to try out all the seating for you to get a better feel of the seating at these public locations.

Enjoy!
